Nation singer Ashley McBryde delivers acoustic efficiency of ‘Support Me Form It Throughout the Evening’ in honor of the overdue Kris Kristofferson

Ashley McBryde delivered a touching tribute to the overdue Kris Kristofferson throughout the 2024 CMA Awards Wednesday night time.

Kristofferson died on the life of 88 at his house in Maui, Hawaii, Sept. 28. 

Kristofferson is understood for his many contributions to nation song and his performing roles in motion pictures just like the “Blade” trilogy, in addition to the 1976 model of “A Star Is Born,” which earned him a Yellowish Globe. He acted along Barbra Streisand within the movie.

Along with freeing song as a solo artist all over his occupation, Kristofferson joined forces with Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson and Johnny Money within the Eighties to method the Highwaymen. 

McBryde carried out “Help Me Make It Through the Night” throughout the 2024 CMA Awards. 

The music was once firstly recorded through Kristofferson for his debut copy in 1970 and has been recorded through plenty of artists, together with Sammi Smith, Elvis Presley and Loretta Lynn.

McBryde carried out an acoustic model of the music future photographs of Kristofferson gave the impression on an accompanying display.

2024 CMA AWARDS: COMPLETE WINNERS LIST

Late country music legend Toby Keith was also honored at the 2024 CMA Awards. The “Will have to’ve Been a Cowboy” singer died Feb. 5 after a battle with stomach cancer.

During the show, hosts Luke Bryan, Lainey Wilson and Peyton Manning led a toast with red Solo cups dedicated to the late country star, a reference to his 2011 single. 

“We wish to speed a past to toast the splendid Toby Keith,” Bryan said. “A splendid artist, a splendid American and a splendid nation song icon. Toby, you’re going to be ignored friend.”

Fans expressed mixed reactions to this tribute on social media, many sharing feelings of dissatisfaction over the brief moment for Keith. 

A tribute to the late Tom Petty was also part of the 2024 CMA Awards. 

Petty died Oct. 2, 2017, at age 66 from an accidental drug overdose.
