NEW DELHI: Former Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi has expressed that if big name Indian cricketer Virat Kohli visits Pakistan, he’ll be beaten via the affection and astonishment he receives from Pakistani enthusiasts.
Amid experiences suggesting Bharat’s reluctance to take part within the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan, Afridi recommended the Indian staff to seek advice from the rustic, surroundings apart the political tensions between the 2 international locations.

In regards to the time of Indian cricket, Afridi recognized Shubman Gill as a possible successor to legends like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli.
“IPL has created so much talent pool for India that they can make two teams,” the previous all-rounder famous.
Turning his consideration to the Pakistan cricket management, Afridi emphasised the use of appointing the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman for a longer tenure.
“Chairman should at least get three years so that Pakistan captain can remain for 2-3 years at his post. With the change of chairman, other things should not be affected. If we work on the basis of merit, the results will come,” concluded Afridi.
