College of Alabama president discusses authorized basketball facility growth



TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) — On Friday, the College of Alabama Machine Board of Trustees authorized weighty plans for its males’s and ladies’s basketball systems.

The southeast nook of Coleman Coliseum will obtain a 48,000-square-foot growth month renovating roughly 19,000 sq. ft of present crew field. The cost tag for those plans can be $58 million.

UA President Stuart Bell is interested by what this implies for the basketball groups’ week coaching and participant building.

“It is exciting, and coaches are excited, and the athletic director is excited, and I am excited,” Bell stated. “This is going to add an additional practice facility for our students, so we’ll now have two. We’ll have addressed both men’s and women’s practice facilities.”
